How to use these multiplication flashcards
Fact fluency frees up working memory for the math that comes next: long multiplication, fractions and division all lean on knowing 7 × 8 without counting. Flashcards are still one of the quickest ways to get there, as long as the answer is on the back where a peek takes effort. The 7s and 8s are the facts most students find hardest, so they are loaded first. Use the times-table buttons to swap in any table from 2 to 12, or type your own facts, one per line.
- Tap a times table (×2 to ×12) to load its 12 facts, or keep the ×7 and ×8 deck. You can mix tables by pasting more lines.
- Each line reads "7 × 8 = 56": the fact prints on the front and the answer on the back.
- Choose 8 or 10 cards per page; math facts are short, so even small cards print in large type.
- Print double-sided on the long edge, cut, and hand out a table per student or per small group.
Tips
- Turn on "Swap sides" to make division-style cards: the product on the front, the fact on the back.
- Keep a "tricky facts" deck: when a student misses a fact twice, add its line to a short personal deck.
- Say the whole fact aloud ("seven times eight is fifty-six") rather than just the answer; it sticks better.
